Personal Lines Account Manager

Title: Account Manager

Reports To: Team Lead

Job Purpose: To grow the personal lines department of the corporation and expand the overall brand of Avant Insurance Brokers Ltd.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact to help us grow our new office
  2. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems (TAM), and update relevant information held in these systems.
  4. Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
  5. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  6. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information at regular personal lines huddles.
  7. Record, analyze, report and administer policies according to systems and requirements.
  8. Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  9. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills, and to maintain a superior level of industry knowledge and required licensing hours.
  10. Adhere to corporate policies as assigned by management
  11. Assist as a back up, any walk in Autopac clients, leveraging those clients into potential personal lines clients
  12. Other duties as assigned by management

Measures of Success:

  1. Continuous growth of book of business as measured by commission levels
  2. Increase to number of clients in book of business
  3. Satisfactory levels of customer service satisfaction through surveys and client interviews
  4. High reviews from superiors and co workers as member of the team

Successful Candidates will have:

  1. Ability to be proactive and generate new clients through personal networks, walk in clients and other means
  2. Experience in dealing with the public in a customer service setting
  3. Experience with selling home, auto and boat insurance in Manitoba required
  4. Willing to work independently and with a team
  5. Experience with Tam an asset
  6. Multilingualism an asset
  7. Candidates will be required to confirm vaccination status for Covid-19 as a condition of employment
